Growing Up

I grew up in a small town in rural Wisconsin. There, I went to Baraboo High School. In high school, I participated in a variety of different clubs, including Link Crew (a club to help freshmen orient themselves), Academic Decathlon, Future Business Leaders of America (where I competed at Nationals), Science Club, and was a founder of 2 clubs: Model UN, where I was also president; and Baraboo 21 & the National Tuscania Remembrance Association, a club where we raised funds and built a memorial to remember the sinking of the SS Tuscania in World War I.

I won the following awards as well:

• National Merit Scholar
• AP Scholar with Distinction
• Athlete of the Year
• 3x MVP (Cross Country, Swimming, and Track)
• 3x Captain (Cross Country, Swimming, and Track)
• 7x Conference Champion
